Carson Internal Medicine is a concierge medical practice in Monmouth County, offering a highly personalized and enhanced level of care from Dr. Michael Carson. The practice was established after Dr. Carson chose to leave the corporate medicine structure, so care decisions would remain personal, rather than policy-driven.
Every medical and practice decision — from scheduling to care plans — is made by Dr. Carson. There are no corporate protocols, quotas, or outside administrators influencing how patients are treated. Instead, Dr. Carson has made a commitment to purposefully limit the number of patients he sees to ensure adequate time and availability for each patient, to help patients achieve optimal wellness.
Dr. Carson is able to spend more time with you, listen to your concerns, and build a strong relationship. This partnership is essential for proactive care and achieving your wellness goals.
Thorough
Your annual visit will include a Comprehensive Health Assessment and Module-Proactive (CHAMP) session. The session acquires objective information to guide your health plan including a body composition analysis, grip strength assessment, macular degeneration screening, vision acuity tests, and hearing assessments. These tests are not covered by insurance but are included as part of your annual membership fee.

24/7 direct communications
You will be able to reach Dr. Carson directly, both during and after office hours for urgent issues. Communications will be by phone or through your patient portal.
Coordination of care
Dr. Carson will have full access to the Jersey Shore EPIC system, allowing him to acess your electronic health records. He will continue with the same network of doctors for any specialists neeeded.
Little to no waiting
Due to an intentionally smaller panel size, you won’t experience long wait times in the waiting room or the exam room. Same or next day appointments are also available for acute care visits.
